Course Fee Refunds
All refund applications must be made in writing using the Application for Refund form.
The completed form must be submitted to GTD Administration. Available from 1300 259 626.
Approved applications will be processed within 14 days from the date of application.
Refund applications are indicated below:
1. Fee for service Refunds
Withdrawal 7 days prior to agreed start date – Full refund
Course withdrawn by RTO – Full refund
The RTO is unable to provide the course for which the original enrolment and payment has been made – Full refund
The student has special circumstances for withdrawing – Refund whether full/partial at the entire discretion of the college.
2. Government Funded Refunds
Withdrawal prior to scheduled course commencement date – Full refund
Withdrawal within 4 weeks after the scheduled course commencement date – Full refund in excess of the minimum fee.
If withdrawing from only part of an enrolment, only the applicable tuition fees are refundable
Course withdrawn by RTO – Full refund
The RTO is unable to provide the course for which the original enrolment and payement has been made – Full refund
3. Special circumstances for withdrawing
If accepted, refund whether full/partial is at the entire discretion of the college.
Students may have circumstances that prevent them from attending scheduled course dates that may include, but are not limited to, illness, family or personal matters, or other reasons that are out of the ordinary.
Where evidence can be successfully provided to support the student’s circumstances, course fees may either be transferred to the next available course where applicable, or a refund of unused course fees will be issued.
This decision of assessing the extenuating circumstances rests with the GTD Training Manager and shall be assessed case by case.
4. Extenuating circumstances
Students may have extenuating circumstances that prevent them from attending scheduled course dates.
These circumstances may include (but are not limited to):
- Illness
- Family or personal matters
- Other extraordinary reasons
Where evidence can be successfully provided to support the Student’s circumstances, course fees may either be transferred to the next available course where applicable, or a refund of unused course fees will be issued. This decision of assessing the extenuating circumstances rests with the Director of GTD and shall be assessed case by case.
IMPORTANT:
- When a student breaches GTD Policies and Procedures, no refund is payable.
- When a student withdraws from the course without extenuating circumstances, only a partial refund is payable
