Government funded Hospitality qualifications
GOAL can deliver Victorian Government funded hospitality qualifications for Certificates 2, 3 or 4 levels to eligible participants.We can deliver the training for current industry staff or people who are looking at entering the workforce from 15 years and upwards.
1. You must be an Australian citizen or Permanent resident.
AND
2. Aged over 15 yrs and looking at getting a qualification HIGHER than the one you currently have.
The course gives you the following skills – Practical, product knowledge, customer relations, working with others, compliance and dealing with conflict. These courses acan be a stepping stone for higher level qualifications leading to Diploma of Hospitality and Advanced Diploma of Hospitality. The training is conducted in a classroom and in an actual hospitality business. The training involves demonstrations, practical training, classroom instructions, group work, workshops and some on line content.
Course Outline
The Certificate II and III programs will qualify you to undertake a range of jobs within the Hospitality industry. They will also provide you with a broad range of operations skills and knowledge that will allow you to offer assistance in some supervising or team leader roles. This training program may be completed through classroom, workplace based training or a combination of both.

Assessment
To receive the qualification, participants are required to successfully complete all units of competency. A qualification will be issued, based on the successful assessments of all units of competency.
Entry Requirements
Participants must be able to read, write and understand maths to a level required to complete Year 10. If participants are entering this program as an apprentice or a trainee under the Australian Apprenticeships arrangements, they must be employed in the industry and must register at an Australian Apprenticeships Centre (AAC) prior to enrolment.
If you are a resident of Victoria and an Australian citizen or Permanent resident, you may be eligible for a subsidised place under the Victorian Training Guarantee. For eligible individuals, this training is delivered with Victorian and Commonwealth Government Funding.
Qualification Earned: Certificate II, III or IV in Hospitality
Job Prospects
Upon successful completion of this qualification, students will be eligible to apply for entry to Certificate IV in Hospitality or gain employment in the hospitality industry.
