Victorian Training Guarantee

Goal Training & Development GTD can announce that it has secured a contract to offer Government Subsidised Training as part of the Victorian Training Guarantee. This is a great new initiative that will see more training subsidised for more people. From the 1st of September, 2011 all courses at GTD including Certificate 2,3 and 4 Hospitality and Certificate 2 and 3 Retail are eligible for Victorian Government Subsided training places.

The following applicants are eligible as part of this new initiative (all applicants must meet Australian Citizen / Residency requirements):

  • Australian Citizen
  • Australian Permanent Resident
  • East Timorese Asylum Seeker
  • Subclass 444 New Zealand Citizen
  • Temporary Protection Visa
  • Asylum Seekers and Victims of Human Trafficking in Victoria

AND

  • Anyone aged between 15 – 19 years of age (on Jan 1st of current year) can complete any qualification
  • Anyone aged 20 years of age and over (on Jan 1st of current year) can complete any qualification as long as it’s above what they already hold (eg. if they hold a Certificate II qualification they can only complete a Certificate III qualification).
Enrolment fees

For all the categories a mandatory enrolment fee is required to secure a funded training position. Participants holding a Concession Card, Health Care Card or Veterans Card incur an enrolment fee between $105 to $187.50, depending on the qualification undertaken. If you do not hold one of these cards an enrolment fee will still be charged, but at a higher rate depending on the qualification undertaken.

To enrol with GTD you will need to undertake a formal enrolment process that will take 45 minutes.

You will also need to provide:

  • A copy of your Pensioner Card or Healthcare Card,
  • A copy of documentation that proves you are an Australian Citizen / Permanent Resident ***
  • A completed Statutory Declaration confirming your past educational achievements.

*** Appropriate forms of evidence include: Australian Birth Certificate or Passport, Visa, Citizenship Document, Commonwealth Health Care Card, Medicare Card

Once you have completed the enrolment process we will give you an information pack. You will receive a course timetable, a Student Handbook, and information about participating in the course.
